It's Friday! A Week Review in Pictures

I forgot last week's picture review on Friday. Let me just say it's been a crazy 2 weeks. We are finally getting settled into the house. We still don't have any pictures on the walls but I promise a post soon with some pictures of the inside of the house.

Today I'm going to introduce you to my sister-in-laws blog over at The Williams Post!

Her blog is one of my favorites to read...not just because she's family either. :)

Deci copied the picture on the left (above) and drew the picture on the right. I was pretty impressed.

I found this potato soup recipe HERE and it was AMAZING. I just substituted low-fat or fat-free ingredients when I could.

Pictured above is what we had to eat Monday night. Every Monday we have friends over to eat. Q picks a topic each week (this past week it was breakfast foods) and everyone brings something creative to share. Q gave a "reward" to the most creative. The food was AMAZING! This coming Monday it's Asian week. I'm making weight watchers lettuce wraps! YUM!

Journey's book finally came in that Kerrie and Wade got her. I love it!

We had visitors over the weekend! Q's dad and his wife came up to visit. Notice how the girls are cooperating! ha!

I'm trying to do more creative and educational stuff with the girls during the day and that's what this picture above is about. I made Memory cards with Alphabets. Deci knows most of her letters but she still needs help with some so I thought this would be a fun way to learn. Next I'm going to make the upper case letter on one card and she has to find the lower case because she still gets confused with the difference.

Deci had a REALLY long spring break...like 3 weeks LONG! BUT she started back this week and of course she's back to picking out her own clothes to wear. :)

These girls got a cold last week also and laid around the house a few days...but they seem to be getting better now.

This week, since Rick and Hilde came to visit, I'll leave you with a post from the past about them.

It's Friday! A Week Review In Pictures

I'll start this post off by telling you that I've met an AMAZING friend this week.

Her name is Kylee....which confuses me every time I say it because it's like meshing my 2 brothers names together... Kyle and Lee...but not really... but I keep wanting to say it that way. I'm sure she hates this! ha! :)

ANYWAYS, She really is amazing and I am so glad my friend Holleigh introduced us.

She is originally from Ohio and moved out with her husband this past Summer.

It's nice to have another friend here who understands how hard it can be to live so far away from family.

Now, on to my very CRAZY week:

Sunday night we had our very first meeting about the Beautiful Mess in the basement we will be meeting at to do outreach...did that sentence even make since? This whole Beautiful Mess stuff should have had it's own post but man when do I have the time...something HUGE is going on this week...

Do you know what happens if you leave a one-year-old alone in a room with baby wipes??

Well, this is what mine does:

Every. Single. Time. Why do I keep leaving them where she can get them??

So, This HUGE thing that's been going on this week...and the surprise I talked about last Friday, HERE is that we are MOVING!! Just to another place in the same area...it just has a back yard, dishwasher, bonus room (for the girls toys and guest to stay), and two bathrooms!!!! Which we don't have ANY of those things in the house we are living in now....well, I mean, we have a bathroom, just not 2. ;) So, this week every day I've been loading up my car with boxes and taking them to the new house. I'll do a moving post soon and post more pictures.

Yesterday morning we met one of Deci's friends from school at a local indoor gym to play.

Since Brooke is here visiting us in Oregon at the Moment, I'll leave you with a post (click HERE) from the past about the one and only Brooke and I'm thinking maybe I should get her to potty train Journey while she's here.

And, I'll leave you with this picture. I've never been a fan of BIG sunglasses but there is just something about Oregon that makes me feel like I can branch out...what do ya think?

Haha! These are Breanna's that she got at Forever 21 for like $2. I think I need some! Kerrie would be proud!

It's Friday: A week Review in Pictures

As I mentioned last week, I'll be introducing you guys to one of the blogs I follow every Friday.

Today... Our neighbor and her family over at:

I've talked about her blog before on here but I wanted to tell everyone about her blog again this week because of her recent post about a movie review. They own a Wildlife poster company and one of their posters was in a movie they were watching! How fun is that?

Also, after next week we will no longer be neighbors. eeeek! Our big surprise I'll tell you about next week! (and no, we are not moving away from Oregon!)

Last Friday night Q and I went on a date. We ended the night with our friends (and fellow Crash members) at a local arcade. This was seriously sketchy...like, we had to walk down a dark alleyway to get there, sketchy and of course my husband LOVED it and can't wait to go back.

Saturday Breanna and I went out shopping at some local 2nd hand clothing stores and ate lunch at one of my favorite restaurants Mucho Gusto AND we got to eat outside!

We have really had BEAUTIFUL weather this week...not Alabama 70+ degree weather but It's been in the 60's and I'll take it!

We went to 3 different parks this week!

Two of them we had never been to before.

Journey has started trying to put on her own clothes...It's not working out so well.

We've got to hang out with our neighbors twice this week!

It's FRIDAY: A Week Review in Pictures

Last Friday Deci decided to take her Bike out for a spin around the block. I can't wait until the weather gets better and we can do this more. She's getting really good...maybe this Summer we can even try without training wheels.

Saturday morning we went to an indoor yard sale at a local church. All proceeds went to help the high school group go on a mission trip over spring break. I found this pillow! $1

Saturday afternoon Q took Deci out to Chuck E Cheese while Journey and I napped. He called at 3:30pm saying she threw up all over the mall floor. He brought her home and it got bad. She was throwing up every 10 minutes the first 2 hours so we decided to take her to Urgent Care. As we got in the car I got sick...in the car. I know, YUCK! They ended up giving us both medicine. Q took this picture below:

LOVELY. :) We got home at 8 and went straight to bed waking up off and on all night. At 3am Q comes in saying that Journey is throwing up. I was so weak at this point I could hardly move. Q seriously was SUPER Dad and SUPER Husband. Breanna ended up getting it also but we are all feeling better now! :) We ended up spending the whole week inside though and it was quite a Looooooong week.

We woke up to SNOW one morning!

Deci was so excited. For some reason she thinks it's Christmas every time it snows. :)

This little girl has been working on 4 teeth coming in at once for about 2 weeks now! Yes 4! I think 2 of them are completely in now but 2 are still barely showing through. She has been really fussy lately...especially on this day. She also decided to draw on the floor...and her foot.

Also, on Fridays, I'm going to start adding A Post From my Past link since I went almost 2 years of not posting on my blog I thought I would give you a chance to read some of my favorite blogs from my past. :) Here's the first one: What to do with a toddler on a Cold or Rainy Day. This post was over 2 years ago and it reminded me of this past week. Being Sick, Snow, and finding creative things to do inside. This week (not pictured) we also got out shaving cream to play with on the table.

I would love to hear from you what you do with your kids inside when you can't get out.
